Sant Kabir Information:-According to one belief, Sant Kabir was born from the womb of a widow Brahmin who was mistakenly blessed with a son by Ramanandaji. So this Brahmin left him near Lahartara lake. Then a Muslim couple named Neeru and Neema found him from this lake. He accepted and raised this child.

Kabir’s parents were very poor and illiterate but they accept Kabir wholeheartedly and educate him about his own business. He leads a balanced life of a simple householder and Sufi.

Scholars differ about Kabir’s birth but most scholars believe that he was born in Kashi. Swanyam Kabirji has written in one of his Sakhis “Kashi Me Pargat Behe ​​Ramanand Chenay”.

Sant Kabirji’s Guru:-

It is believed that he received religious education from a guru named Ramananda in his childhood. And he became known as the best disciple of Guru Ramananda. Scholars and students stay at Kabirdas’ house to read his great works. It is said that Kabirji’s family still lives in Kabir Chaura in Varanasi.

About Kabir’s Guru It is believed that Kabir was in search of a suitable Guru. He wanted the Vaishnava saint Acharya Ramananda to be his guru but Ramananda refused to accept Kabir as his disciple. Kabir had made up his mind that no matter what happened he would make Swami Ramanand his guru, so an idea came to Kabir’s mind that Swami Ramanandji was going to bathe in the Ganges at four o’clock in the morning, before he went to bathe I was standing on the steps of the lake. Go to sleep and he did the same. One day Kabir fell asleep on the steps of the Panchganga Ghat when it was about 5 o’clock in the night.

As Ramanandji was descending the steps to bathe in the Ganga, his foot fell on Kabir’s body and immediately the word ‘Ram-Ram’ came out of his mouth. Kabir accepted the same word “Ram Naam” as the initiation mantra and accepted Ramanandji as his guru. Kabirji has written in one of his sakhis that, Kashi Me Pargat Behe ​​Ramanand Chanaya.

Sant Kabirji Sahib’s Thoughts and Impartiality:-

Saint Kabirji was secular, he did not follow Hinduism and Islam. He openly condemned social vices, rituals and superstitions and severely criticized social evils. During his lifetime, both Hindus and Muslims threatened him for his views.

Kabirdas was the first Indian saint who united Hinduism and Islam by showing the universal path. According to Kabir every life is connected with two religious principles (Jivatma and Paramatma). According to him the process of uniting these two divine principles is moksha.

Kabir’s thoughts and works:-

Kabirji was illiterate. So all the poems, sakhis, bhajans etc. are written by his disciples. His disciples have preserved his speech in the form of a book called ‘Bijaka’. which is divided into three parts. Sakhi, Shabd(5d) and Rameni(Doha). Saint Kabirji was an opponent of Murtipuja in Hinduism. He was a devout and Sufi thinker. Kabir’s language is considered Saghukdi. It includes all dialects of Hindi language.

Kabirdas is first a poet, then a social reformer. He based his creations on the stereotypes and stereotypes prevalent in the society. In each of his poems, some hidden message must be hidden. His arrival came at a time when the country was ruled by brutal Muslim rulers. Religion was in trouble. The condition of women was also miserable. His honor was not secure. People were being forcibly converted. Slave system was also prevalent in the society.

Human sensibilities had disappeared in the society. In such a situation Kabir’s philosophical ideas and poet became stronger, he openly opposed the belief, superstition, evil spread in the society.

Faith in Ram:-

According to Kabir Ram is Agam. He resides in every particle of the entire creation. Kabir does not envision any particular form of Rama. Because imagining the figure would have locked Rama into a particular mold which Kabir never wanted.

Kabir sees Rama in a different and comprehensive form. They believe in name and not in form. Because Name is greater than form according to Bhakti sense theory. According to Kabir, God cannot be limited by name, form, quality, time etc. God is beyond all boundaries. God is everywhere. That is Kabir’s Nirguna Ram. That is why Kabir has given the name Ram to play.

Death of Kabir Das :-

It is believed that the 15th century Sufi saint Kabirdas himself chose a place called Maghar, located 240 kilometers from Lucknow city, for his death. At that time there was a belief among the people that one who dies in Magahar will become a monkey in the next birth and will not get abode in heaven and one who dies in Kashi goes directly to heaven. Saint Kabirji wanted to remove this popular belief so he left Kashi and resided in Maghar in his last days. Kabirji has said in one of his sakhis that, “Jo Kabira Kashi Mueto Rame Kaun Nihora” meaning if the way to heaven is so easy, then why do you need to worship.

Kabirdas’s education is extensive and is common to all He did not discriminate between Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and any other religions. Magahar has both the mausoleum and the mausoleum of Kabirdas. After the death of Saint Kabir, people of Hindu and Muslim religions clashed with each other over his last rites. But when they remove the sheet spread over Kabir’s body, only flowers are found there, but Kabirji’s body disappears. The flowers were shared by the people of both the communities and then performed the last rituals of Kabirji according to their respective religions.

A few meters away from the mausoleum is a cave which is said to be the place of his meditation before death. A trust named Kabir Shodh Sanstha runs in his name which acts as a research institute to promote research on the works of Kabir Das. There is also an educational institute here which incorporates the teachings of Kabir Sahib.
